4  Robustness Operating Models

4.1 OM5a

The figures below show the historical dynamics of the Robustness OM OM5a:

  • female spawning biomass (Figure 4.1);
  • biomass and spawning biomass relative to unfished levels (Figure 4.2, Figure 4.3);
  • spawning biomass relative to the equilibrium spawning biomass corresponding with maximum sustainable yield (Figure 4.4);
  • total catch summed over stocks and fleets (Figure 4.5).

In each figure, the black line shows the median across simulations and the grey ribbon the 5th–95th percentile interval.

Figure 4.1: Female spawning biomass (SSB) from OM5a. Black line is the median and the grey ribbon the 5th–95th percentile interval across simulations.
Figure 4.2: Total biomass relative to unfished biomass (B/B0), by stock, from OM5a. Black line is the median and the grey ribbon the 5th–95th percentile interval across simulations.
Figure 4.3: Female spawning biomass relative to unfished spawning biomass (SSB/SB0) from OM5a. Black line is the median and the grey ribbon the 5th–95th percentile interval across simulations.
Figure 4.4: Female spawning biomass relative to equilbrium spawning biomass at MSY (SSB/SBMSY) from OM5a. Black line is the median and the grey ribbon the 5th–95th percentile interval across simulations.
Figure 4.5: Total catch, summed over stocks and fleets, from OM5a. Black line is the median and the grey ribbon the 5th–95th percentile interval across simulations.

4.2 OM6b

The figures below show the historical dynamics of the Robustness OM OM6b:

  • female spawning biomass (Figure 4.6);
  • biomass and spawning biomass relative to unfished levels (Figure 4.7, Figure 4.8);
  • spawning biomass relative to the equilibrium spawning biomass corresponding with maximum sustainable yield (Figure 4.9);
  • total catch summed over stocks and fleets (Figure 4.10).

In each figure, the black line shows the median across simulations and the grey ribbon the 5th–95th percentile interval. The relative biomass plots are faceted by stock, as depletion cannot be meaningfully summed across stocks.

Figure 4.6: Spawning biomass (SSB) from the OM6b. Black line is the median and the grey ribbon the 5th–95th percentile interval across simulations.
Figure 4.7: Total biomass relative to unfished biomass (B/B0), by stock, from OM6b. Black line is the median and the grey ribbon the 5th–95th percentile interval across simulations.
Figure 4.8: Female spawning biomass relative to unfished spawning biomass (SSB/SB0) from OM6b. Black line is the median and the grey ribbon the 5th–95th percentile interval across simulations.
Figure 4.9: Female spawning biomass relative to equilbrium spawning biomass at MSY (SSB/SBMSY) from OM6b. Black line is the median and the grey ribbon the 5th–95th percentile interval across simulations.
Figure 4.10: Total catch, summed over stocks and fleets, from OM6b. Black line is the median and the grey ribbon the 5th–95th percentile interval across simulations.
